Yuliia Kirillova was a participant of the Revolution of Dignity and was engaged in volunteering. In 2015, she officially joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in the 25th Battalion “Kyivan Rus”. She was awarded the Order of Princess Olha, III degree.
After her demobilization, she and other female veterans founded the Women Veterans Movement NGO, which advocates for the rights of female soldiers and helps them return to civilian life after their service.
In February 2022, she returned to the army as part of the Territorial Defense Forces. Yuliia evacuated the wounded and accompanied civilian convoys during the fighting in the Kyiv Oblast.
From November 2022, Yuliia Kirillova headed the Department of Educational and Analytical Work of the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation, researching current problems and needs of veterans, developing recommendations that later became the basis for the formation of veteran policy in Ukraine.
Yuliia Kirillova also teaches at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
We know that by leading our team, Yuliia will do a lot of good for female and male veterans. And we are always ready to support her and work tirelessly together to implement important projects!
