A memorandum of cooperation on the reintegration of veterans and social assistance was concluded between the DIGNITAS Fund and the Ukrainian Veterans Foundaation of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
Joint projects of the UVF and DIGNITAS will be implemented on the basis of statistical data and analysis. It is, in particular, about the training of veterans and their further demand in the labor market.
“We will focus on social support during the transition to civilian life of wounded veterans who, due to their health, can no longer defend the country on the battlefield, but they still want to play the role of the Defenders in civilian life,” says the First Deputy Executive Director Ruslana Velychko Ukrainian Veterans Foundation.
On March 9, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine also concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with this charitable organization. Cooperation will be aimed at ensuring a unified systemic approach to the formation and implementation of state veteran policy, including the development of veteran entrepreneurship.
Currently, our entire team is working to ensure that our Defenders return to a peaceful life after the victory of Ukraine, receive from the state proper social support and all opportunities for self-realization in communities, and participate in the restoration of the country’s economy,” emphasized Minister Yulia Laputina. – That is why among the priority directions is support and promotion of the development of veteran entrepreneurial initiatives, their acquisition of specialized education, or retraining in order to be competitive in the market. We, together with the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation, will continue to support veteran entrepreneurship and are interested in productive cooperation with public organizations that provide mentoring and social support, consultations and assistance to veterans, members of their families and families of fallen defenders.”
Yes, the parties will cooperate in:
- preparation and holding of educational events, conferences, business forums for veterans
- ensuring the participation of Ukrainian companies whose founders or co-founders are veterans in international exhibitions, fairs in Ukraine and abroad
- ensuring favorable conditions for the development of the potential of veteran enterprises, the introduction of veteran goods and services to foreign markets
- protection of the rights and interests of veteran entrepreneurs, etc.
