The American Foundation “People of Ukraine” together with the Ukrainian Veteran Foundation of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine is launching English language studying courses for Ukrainian veterans.
Courses are adapted to the level of language proficiency and special needs of veterans. For example, defenders who have lost their sight can learn, because programs for reading audio have been additionally developed. In addition, the courses will be held online, so those who have been injured and are undergoing rehabilitation can join.
“The educational program lasts 3 months. Lessons will be held in the evening, twice a week, lasting 45 minutes each. The course will be taught by qualified American teachers with many years of experience in American schools. The training takes place online with the help of the Zoom video conferenceі” says Tetyana Shay, head of the People of Ukraine Foundation.
Training is free, and upon completion of the courses, participants will receive appropriate certificates.
“It can be difficult for veterans to concentrate on their studies now. However, it is worth finding personal motivation that will help you pass the course. After all, by acquiring new skills, we strengthen our own capabilities and expand the horizons of possibilities. And this is very important for a better life in the post-war reality,” says Natalia Kalmykova, The Executive Director of the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation.
Training will start on April 25, 2023. You can register between March 25 and April 15, 2023. The number of places is limited.
