A new information and analytical project, The Spectrums, has been launched for veterans and civilians to help soldiers return to civilian life.
The series of programs was launched by the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation together with Militarnyi.
The project aims to provide veterans with a platform to share experiences and ideas that will help them reintegrate into civilian life, as well as create a bridge between veterans and society through a series of in-depth interviews, educational content, workshops, and interactive sessions.
The Spectrums project is hosted by Kateryna Suprun, a journalist at Militarnyi. The first guest of the program was Marko Melnyk, a veteran, founder of a veteran publishing house and co-host of the next programs of The Spectrums project.
“Now Ukrainian society is facing the task of blurring the line so that veterans can return to civilian life and find a niche that does not separate them. I see veterans as an organic part of society. And there should not be an artificial division on the part of civilians, when they have separated veterans as a category that pays the price for winning the war, while the rest of society feels comfortable delegating the authority to protect them. There should be no such division,” says veteran Marko Melnyk.
Each program will have its own topic and speaker. The guests and hosts will discuss the rights, opportunities, psychological support, readaptation, pains and aspirations of veterans. From the episodes of The Spectrums, you will learn about the path of veterans such as their experience, needs, reintegration, families, legal and ethical issues. All the important things that concern each of us.
The program will be released every Tuesday at 18:00 on Militarnyi’s YouTube channel. The first episode is available here:
